Recent Work:
In 2012, the Clay Public Library formed the Big Bang Book Club for those interested in science fiction stories. They meet the second Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. They have a Facebook page.
A regular book club meets monthly. This is in addition to the summer reading program that has been at the library every year since it opened in 2009.
The Clay Public Library also sponsors craft night, where people learn how to create many different items.
Board Function:
The City of Clay Library Board works under the authority of the Clay City Council in making decisions concerning Clay's public library. They make final decisions on operation policies and assist the council in deciding on expenditures. The library director and assistant answers to this board and the Clay City Council.
This group meets at the Clay Public Library on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Councilor Kevin Small is the liaison between the board and the Clay City Council.
