Renting the Facilities:
The center is available for rent for $100 for five hours. Renter must comply with the rules in the user agreement.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Services:
The Clay Senior Activity Center is recognized regionally for its outstanding program that includes a wide variety of activities, entertainment and trips. The center provides a place where any senior adult can find a friend, a listening ear and a warm hug.
Because of its favorable reputation, the center draws seniors from many surrounding communities. It also provides a wealth of knowledge and support for the many concerns of today’s seniors, including dementia caregiver support.
We serve a hot lunch each day for a suggested $1.50 donation. Anyone age 60 or older can join. Average attendance is 30. ClassTran transportation is available, but is limited to certain days at this time. Please call the center at 205-681-0238 to see when it is avaiable.
Some come to learn more about computers, some come to socialize, and some come to beat their peers at a game of cards or bingo.
A pool table and excercise equipment are available for our seniors enjoyment.
The city of Clay Seniors Advisory Committee discusses matters related to the center and makes recommendations to the co-directors.
