Since 2012, the City of Clay, Alabama has been proud to manage recreational sports programs that serve our community's young athletes. We believe in the power of youth sports to build character, develop teamwork skills, and create lasting friendships while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
Clay's Recreation Department offers a diverse range of sports programs designed to meet the interests and skill levels of children throughout our community:
Baseball – America's pastime comes alive in Clay at our state-of-the-art fields, where young players learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, and pitching while developing sportsmanship and team spirit.
Basketball – Our basketball program teaches ball handling, shooting, and defensive skills while emphasizing teamwork and good sportsmanship on the court.
Cheerleading – Building confidence, coordination, and team unity, our cheerleading program combines athleticism with school spirit and performance skills.
Football – Young athletes learn the game of football in a safe, supervised environment that emphasizes proper technique, teamwork, and dedication.
Softball – Players develop hitting, throwing, and fielding skills while learning the value of teamwork and perseverance.
T-Ball – Our youngest athletes get their first taste of organized sports through t-ball, where the focus is on fun, basic skills, and fostering a love of the game.
Total Futbol Club Access – We also provide access to local soccer club Total Futbol Club for families interested in the world's most popular sport.
Our programs are designed with your child's development and safety in mind. We provide experienced coaches, well-maintained facilities, and a positive environment where every child can thrive. Whether your child is stepping onto the field for the first time or looking to advance their skills, Clay Youth Sports offers the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
Registration information, schedules, and additional details about each sport are available at the Clay Youth Sports website. We welcome families throughout Clay and surrounding areas to join us in building a stronger, healthier community through youth sports.
